[What I feel right now |contemplativecontemplative]

"This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you, and you may call me V."

~~~~~~
A very well written bit of dialogue, that will no doubt fly over the head of most audience members.
Ah, but now that you're aware of it, if/when you see the movie you'll catch it!
Yep, that's one of the reasons I like it so much - the complexity.
All those pretty v's... I *love* it. All that is not 'v' words in that piece of dialogue are the words:
1st paragraph:
this, no mere, of, is it, of the, populi, now, as the once, of the, now, *what they once, However this, of a by-gone, stands, and has, to, these, and, and, the, and of.
2nd paragraph:
The only, is, a, held as a, not in, for the, and, of such shal one day, the, and the, this, of, most, an introduction, and so it is my, good honor to meet you and you may call me.
*what - a v-sound..
(Can you tell I have nothing better to do?;-p)
I've read the comic. Now I'm gonna go catch the movie with [info]isil80 one evening we both have time. Yay!
I've read a lot of Alan Moore's work, but not V4V. I really like that little intro though, is it in the comic? There are a lot of V references in the movie, as in the comic. I understand he even speaks in iambic pentameter (another V/5 ref right there!), as in: "You may call me V."
I hope you like the movie, but keep in mind that it does stray quite a bit from the comic at times.
I haven't seen the film yet, so it'll probably make more sense to me when I finally see it. :)
OHHH, I loved the scenes with Neo and the Architect!
"The Architect - Hello, Neo.
Neo - Who are you?
The Architect - I am the Architect. I created the matrix. I've been waiting for you. You have many questions, and although the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human. Ergo, some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not. Concordantly, while your first question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also irrelevant.
Neo - Why am I here?
The Architect - Your life is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the matrix. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden to sedulously avoid it, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control. Which has led you, inexorably, here.
Neo - You haven't answered my question.
The Architect - Quite right. Interesting. That was quicker than the others.
*The responses of the other Ones appear on the monitors: "Others? What others? How many? Answer me!"*
The Architect - The matrix is older than you know. I prefer counting from the emergence of one integral anomaly to the emergence of the next, in which case this is the sixth version."
I want to see that movie. But I'm not sure... I usually like what critics do not like though.. (unless it's something like Ultra Violet).
Thanks for the diologue, I feel more encouraged to go see it, hehehe
Yea isn't that dialogue great? It's not like that throughout the entire movie though, but V does have some other nice little speeches.
